Mara was promised a wolf. What she received was something restless, shadow-born, and willing to tear apart anyone who came too close. But sometimes her wolf grieves for something Mara cannot remember losing.

Lucien Tharros can command the dead. Mara is considerably less cooperative. But when her wolf takes control, he is the only thing that can reach her-and every time he pulls her back, the bond between them gets stronger.
